I finished the Photo booth and I am very happy with the result. The software is kept as simple as possible.  We will find out in about a months if how it will perform during a real event.

Hi George,

I love your project and my booth is working fine with your software. There is only one problem. After starting the skript the flash led blinks three times and then it stays on until you start with the button. In your video the flash led is only on after pushing the button and not before. Perhaps you know why mine is on before the button is pushed.

Kind regards
Daniel

That sounds like the behaviour for the led in the big dome button. I think you have the flash hooked up to the wrong raspberry pi pin.

I do not think that it is the wrong pin, because the rest of the script is working fine.

Ahhhh, I think I understand now what you mean.

I thought

led_pin = 7 # LED

is for the flash, but i seems to be for the LED in the dome button.

But where can I configure the pin for the flash button?

I was trying to post this true my app but it didn't send. Ihttps://youtu.be/QWLdW-vTUJY

I you are not using the build in picamera flash driver you will have to add the code yourself to turn a pin connected to your flash high or low when you want. it to.
