On Thursday I connected the third consumer to the community network. Because I planned for this possibility I only needed to install an antenna at the client and point it to the repeater station on the top of the hill. The challenge with this partial client was that it didn't have line of sight at the house because of a ridge between the house and the hill with the repeater station. A chook house slightly higher then the house did have line of sight.so thats where I mounted the antenna. 50 meters of shielded ethernet cable was required to bring the ethernet connection into the office inside the house.
Because of the signal traveling over the ridge and the possibility of growing trees entering the fresnel zone of the signal and the client being located on the edge of transmitter field off the NanoBeam I decided to use a Ubiquiti PowerBeam PBE-5AC-500 for the client side.
